Pallet Sign Craft Day Fun!

As I wrote about last week, I've started a fun new adventure with my friend Susan at her new farm house called "Fridays at the Farm".  We are offering crafting sessions every other Friday {althougth this might change after having our first night, haha! We.Are.Exhausted!} at her home. Our first session was yesterday, and it went great! Read a little more about it in depth, on Susan's blog, but here are a few highlights...

 

It's always S'more fun at the farm...

Each table setting had a glass bottle filled with their own paint brushes and other tools, on top of a "Fridays at the Farm" branded place mat! The "It's Friday" pennant banner hung in the main crafting room and welcomed guests at the front door...

After a mini lesson from Susan an me, everyone got to work!

The creativity from each and every lady was so fun to watch!

Susan will be opening an Etsy Shop soon, where she will be selling these adorable banners and other crafts {and maybe painted pallet signs?!} ...

Such a fun day! I had a great time meeting new and wonderful people. I look forward to the upcoming weeks at Fridays at the Farm!

Fridays at the Farm

Hey all! I just wanted to share a little about a new endeavor I'm taking part in this year, that I'm very excited about! I've joined forces with an amazingly ambitious friend of mine to start a Friday morning craft group at her new, and adorable, farm house! We're so creatively calling it, "Fridays at the Farm"!

Follow my friend Susan's blog, here, to learn more about each craft project, how to sign up, and a little about her awesome family of NINE! Our first Friday is FILLLED UP, but I'm too excited not to show off what we'll be up to. We'll be painting pallet signs. Oh so trendy right now, amiright?!

These signs will spruce up any room with a sweet and simple phrase. Susan and my original hope was to copy be inspired by a few of the amazing signs we found on Pinterest {like the ones shown above} but after a long night of trial and error we decided to modify our project for our 2-hour Friday morning session by bringing the size of the sign down and only offering a selection of signs that are 1-3 word phrases! Here are the phrases we came up with...

My Gift Wrap class is looking pretty slim, so SIGN up! :) I've been really wanting to be a part of a group like this for a while {ever since becoming a mom} and am so happy to have met a fellow mama who shared the same vision! Susan is a MACHINE and ever since meeting her, she's inspired me to up my game, in all areas of my life, really! I am SO looking forward to this venture with her and hope to inspire other mamas alike!!

Today is Fin's first day of 4K {woot woot!! tear sniff sniff!! I'm experiencing split personality disorder} so I'm hoping to get back to blogging a bit more! Stay tuned!

 

Vintage Mickey Mouse Birthday Party

Whew! It's been a while since my last post! A lot has happened in the last six months, but that's a whole other post! Let's get right to the Mickey Mouse party that I designed for my son & nephew's birthday! Finley has been obsessed with Mickey, and when I asked him what he wanted for his birthday theme this year, I admit, I cringed when he said Mickey! A Disney theme... its SOOOO been done already! I'm not one to deny that boy, well much, so of course... A Mickey party it is!

We have a large extended family with lots of little ones, so we've decided to group the kids up for parties. Fin gets to party with his 1 year old cousin, Grayson! A Mickey theme was perfect for a 4 & 1 year old's birthday party... who doesn't love Mickey Mouse?! Here is the invite we sent out. The design was inspired by the original "Steamboat Willie" Cartoon & Anniversary Poster. I paired the simple invite with a fun mickey pattern back side, kraft envelopes, a printable address wrap and fun black and white chevron washi tape!

Here's our little Birthday boys! They both wore matching shirts with Chevron Mickey Appliques on them. {Is this the last year that I'll get away with matching shirts for these guys!?} Each little guest took home their very own mini Mickey Mouse favor bag. The body was stuffed with yummy red gummy bears and we DIY'd the mini mickey heads with black painted styrofoam balls. Two small white button and a personalized name tag and these mini Mickey's were the perfect pint sized snack!

Our welcome table included home made tissue poms, a hand drawn chevron mickey mouse head on a chalk board and a fabulously styled vintage dresser {beautifully painted by Grayson's mommy & daddy, owners of Leisure Living Furniture!}.

All the little mice were requested to wear a pair of Mickey Mouse Ears! We spruced up a chalk board easel with hand made tissue poms, a printable mini banner and all the mouse ear headbands!

Black & White Chevron Pattern, Mickey Mouse Pattern and Black, White & Red colors was the main thread we tied throughout this party...

Our dessert table was filled with tasty treats, from mickey mouse cookies {lovingly made by my mom}, to mickey shaped rice krispie treats and oreo pops! A darling chevron cake made for a simple and modern center piece!

Our drink bar was filled with bold printable party designs. A vibrant banner, water bottle & juice box wraps, and tags for the mason jars & chevron straws all tied in this Mickey theme nicely!

To keep the {darling chevron printed} wooden fork and napkin together, we put them inside a small chevron flat bag and adhered a round printable tag on each. Printable Signs and Pennants tied each "station" together.

Customized food label tent cards were placed in front of each dish. And, we had fun with our Mickey Mouse shaped cookie cutter!

We used the DIY'd styrofoam Mickey Mouse heads as centerpieces on each table by putting them in a mason jar filled with red ripped paper and adorn with two white buttons and polka dot ribbon.

It was so special to celebrate this little guy's first birthday! He was very successful at smashing his first piece of cake and making a wonderful mess!

Customer Approved! Camp 6 Rocks!

I recently had the pleasure of working with a very creative hostess-mama on her son's Camping Themed birthday party! Check out some of her amazing ideas!

This table setting has no detail unmet! From the perfectly matched red gingham table cloth, to the gorgeous green moss table runner, this table top has it all! I LOVE each individual setting, adorn with wooden tree trunk "chargers", a kraft favor box tied with a printable favor tag and personalized metal water bottle! Everything is so rustic, yet so contemporary and chic. The wooden boxes, vintage lantern and acorns make an extra statement to the center piece!

I love this beautiful drink & treat stand, with cups in a drawer of a perfectly matched dresser! And those marshmallow pops sticking in a basket of grass... so perfect!

Speaking of treats... check out all the goodies that were at this Camping Party... I love the adorable tree limb sign holders!

Each little camper went home with some seriously sweet swag! A backpack, metal water bottle and red bandana, to name a few! How adorable is that birthday boy, wearing a personalized "6" shirt! What a cutie.

While the boys were being boys, check out that cutie-pie-girl sitting in her very own tent. What a great accessory to this fun party. And it looks like the little campers had a fun game of potato sack races too!

A bounce house and mini-four-wheeler complete this seriously awesome camping party! Camp 6, surely did, ROCK! :)

Remember my little guy's 2nd Birthday Party that I designed Shark Party Printables for? Well, with the summer upon us, this theme has been a hot one! Check out how one of my customer's styled her own Shark theme party for her little cutie pie! Meet Oliver...

Notice how hostess-mama matched little Oliver to the party! I love a mom who pays attention to every detail! :P Check out these great Shark themed sweets, below... She has Shark Fin cupcakes and had a cake made to match the colors and shark motif of the party printables!

Oliver's mom gave each little shark a personalized goodie bag of "shark bait" and each guest could cool down with a custom wrapped water bottle...

Guest's were greeted to the party area of the local pool with these fun printable signs and even the napkins matched perfectly to the party with these printable napkin wraps...

It was a pleasure working with this wonderful customer to help create a "fin"tastic celebration for her little Shark! I hope Oliver had such a special day celebrating his 1st Birthday!
