Rain Shower Baby Shower

"Shower" the mom-to-be with love with this modern, gender-neutral, rain drops & clouds decorated baby shower! I designed the party printables for my sis-in-law who knows that the gender of her baby is a girl, but she is NOT a girly-girl kind of mama, so I wanted to make something that reflected her style...

Each guest received a pop of sunshine in the mail... With a vibrant and bright yellow chevron pattern and mint colored accents, this invitation set the tone for a fun event to come!

Each invitation asked the guests to bring a children's book in replace of a card and included a printable bookplate for the guest's to adhere in their book. Now, the new mama and dad will be able to read each book to their new bundle and know which book came from a guest from the shower!

At the shower, the drink station was one of the focal points. Fun tissue-paper-clouds with paper rain drops framed a darling printable banner. Water bottles were spruced up with printable paper wraps and mason jars were filled with a darling yellow striped straw and paper cloud-shaped tag.

We managed to add a pop of pink in for the baby-girl-to-come with pink lemonade!

Yellow and mint green was the perfect color palette for this non-girly mama, but would also be perfect for showering a mom-to-be who doesn't know the gender of her baby.

Tissue "poms" made the perfect white clouds with paper rain drops hanging from each...

Each place setting had a printable place mat to add a pop of color...

Everything had a label, from the napkins to fruit kabobs...

Its always great when you have a talented family member who can contribute to the party... we hired "Aunt Linda" to make her famous, and delicious, cake pops! Perfectly matching bows and yellow frosting made these cake pops the biggest hit of the party!

Every baby shower needs games and prizes... riiiight?! We didn't want to give a gift that would end up in the trash {you know what I'm talking about} so winners of Baby-Shower-Bingo and Guess the Celeb Baby won these bad boys... Custom made chalk boards, by my fabulously talented sis-in-law, at Leisure Living Furniture ...

Maternity Leave... here I come!

So! I had this whole other blog post written about how I was going to slowly wean "out of business" in this last month of my pregnancy to prepare for maternity leave, starting with taking away printed product from my shop {like stationery and onesie stickers} and then stop taking you-print orders {like invitations and printable parties} and I just selected all and DELETED it! On purpose! This mama is goin' on "Maternity Leave"... NOW! :P

The idea of just closing my shop, whammo, just like that puts me into the cold sweats and itchy hives! What about my customers? What about the people who are in dire need of my St. Patrick's Day Printable Party that they saw featured on Hostess with the Mostess? This is some real world problems people! Or... I wouldn't want a 7 year old to miss out on a seriously cute camping party or an adorably preppy newborn not to have their first year documented with my seersucker onesie stickers!

Okay, I hope you can detect the sarcasm in my writing, I know I know, not the end of the world, but this IS my business and my passion, so it is hard for me to just put it on hold! And then I calmed down {well, for all my friends out there who know the real psychotic nellie, you know that meant lots of tears, and lots of motivation by my mom and hubby} and thought, the world is not going to end because my shop is on HOLD! :)

I realized I wanted to spend this last month {maybe less... hopefully not longer!} preparing for baby #2! And a lot of that preparation means spending good-ol-one-on-one-quality-time with my first born and favorite little guy, Finley Jack!

That's my guy when he was a newbie. Makes my hormonal pregnant heart melt! This is it for us as a team of two! Our lives will be forever changed in just a few short weeks, so, I want to put 100% focus on him right now!

So, I'm just taking a little breaksie from the etsy shop! I'll still be posting to the blog with projects I've worked on, family updates and other fun stuff, but I've got to close up shop now to tie up loose ends. As I was telling my mom tonight, "I don't want to be in labor thinking about the customers I left stranded wondering where their Willy Wonka Invites are!" ;P

Thanks for understanding! I hope you will all return to my shop when it re-opens after I've settled in to life as a mommy-of-two! I feel so blessed for the business I have had for this year my shop has been open and look forward to seeing where it will go in the future!

This is my favorite category in my etsy shop and it seems to be "the peeps" fave too! Onesie stickers are a hot commodity right now and y'all better just hop on the band wagon! If you've got a baby, you better be taking their monthly photo with a onesie sticker on! In my shop, I offer a little something different than the normal onesie stickers... with mine, you can customize!

Below is my seersucker collection! You can choose between pink & blue seersucker stripes and choose your own embellishment! And if you look closely at Miss Gracie's {on the right} she customized even further and had me create a brand new embellishment because she wanted a monkey motif! Take a peek at the sheet of embellishments below for a selection of fun motifs to select from, and if you don't see one you like, I can create a brand new one just for you for only $8 extra!

P.S... That's Porter and Gracie! They're cousins. 1 day a part. I just want to pinch them. {See how cute Gracie is even without wearing her onesie sticker... love it propped up next to her darling monkey onesie and monkey "prop"!}

Here are the embellishments you can choose from to customize your onesie stickers...

Below are my polka dot & diagonals and polka dot & zig zag onesie stickers. Choose from pink or pool patterned background with green or navy numbers! A great feature about the two options below is if you have twins... order one set in the diagonal background and the other in the zig zag background and put one on each twin each month that you take a photo to decipher the two! :P
